The heat is on

May it last longer than 24 hours this time. Have been without heat downstairs for the last 18 days. Night temps outside in single digits. Reluctant landlord does not wish to pay real repair people. Have also been going to a lot of movies this week in order to be away from house while pseudorepair people with impressive mechanical engineering credentials work on furnace. Just got back from another movie. Downstairs is a-warming. Last time this occurred, we celebrated. We are not so quick with the enthusiasm now.
