It would be great if they had that for life, too! Next time somebody asked you to do something, you could just flash your quota counter and say, "Nope. See? Already at 99%."
Sadly, I think when you're operating at 97% of your quota, often you do need someone to point it out. And a computer can hear "Like I needed you to tell me ...!" with less risk of hurting feelings than if a well-intentioned friend tries to.
